Rex Lee Harris, 65, of Indianola, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 29, 2017, at his home.

He was born June 16, 1951 in Indianola, and was the son of Robert and Helen Sims Harris. Rex owned and operated Rex Harris Farms in Indianola until his retirement in 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Russell and Larry Harris; and one sister, Becky Harris Cox.

Rex leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 48 years Marsha Lynn Harris of Indianola; two daughters Stephanie Harris Ray and her husband Dwaine of Cleveland and Ashley Harris Williams and her husband Brian of Brandon; two sons, Rodney Lee Harris and Eric Harris both of Indianola; three sisters, Patricia Morgan and her husband Webber of Mozelle, Genie Smith and her husband Jerry of Rainey, and Lisa Green and her husband Joe of Hernando; four brothers, Dennis Harris of Hattiesburg, Richard Harris and his wife Pam of Indianola, Joey Holecek and his wife Melissa of Cleveland and Robby Harris and his wife Tasha of Hernando; nine grandchildren, Dalton Cummings, Kaylee Ray, Tyler Harris, Taylor Harris, Katelynn Williams, Walker Williams, Ashton Harris, Preston Harris; and one great grandson, Landon Ray Cummings.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. A private family graveside service will follow at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
