Richard Clifton Standard, 88, of Indianola passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Indianola Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Richard, affectionately known as "RC", was born December 3, 1930 in Holly Ridge, Mississippi to Cliff and Almarie Johnson Standard. He was a farmer for most of his life. RC was a very hardworking and an avid hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kennis Smith Standard; two sons, Johnny Standard and Jerry Standard; and two sisters, Frances Standard Miller, and Maurice Rodgers.

R.C. is survived by one daughter, Sharon Miller and her husband Henry of Hollandale; two grandchildren, Richard Miller, Amy Miller; and two great grandchildren, Abby Winters, and Takaya Winters.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 17, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home in Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
