Rickie Leroy Pannel, 63, of Oxford, and formerly of Indianola, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at his home.

Rickie was born December 10, 1955 in Indianola, to Ledger and Lillian Christine Mitchell Pannel in Indianola. He was a graduate of Indianola Academy and Delta State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Rickie worked as a Certified Public Accountant in Indianola for over 30 years. Rickie was a loving and devoted father.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ledger and Christine Pannel; and one brother, Jackie Pannel.

Rickie is survived by two sons, Dr. Stephen Pannel and his wife Dr. Katherine of Oxford, Mitchell Pannel and his wife Elizabeth of Oxford; one daughter, Dr. Louise Turman and her husband Clint of Inverness; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 2, 2018 from 12:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
