Ricky Lynn Peeples, 56, of Yazoo City, and formerly of Indianola, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Yazoo Health and Rehab in Yazoo City. Ricky was born February 8, 1968, in Indianola, and was the son of Buster Paul Peeples and Janice Sharp Peeples. He was raised in Indianola where he attended Indianola Academy. Ricky was a talented artist and enjoyed painting. He worked on towboats until sustaining a career ending injury. Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Peeples; brother, Gary Paul Peeples; aunt, Diane Bennett; and uncle, Michael Sharp. He is survived by his father, Buster "Buddy" Peeples of Indianola; son, Tyler Peeples (Joely) of Ruleville; grandson, Asher Peeples; two aunts, Vicky Keith and Becky Boyd both of Indianola; and cousins Holly, John Paul, Michelle, Jeremy, and Amy. Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 3:00 pm, at Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
