Robert Clem "Bobby" Prysock, 85, of Indianola, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Baptist of North Mississippi Hospital in Oxford.
Bobby was born April 22, 1938, in Richmond, West Virginia, to Clement Ross Prysock and Gene Maude Boone Prysock. He was a United States Navy veteran. Bobby was a devoted father to his children, and he served as a Boy Scout Leader for his son's troop. He began working at Modern Line Products and held many positions there through his career. He retired as the Supply Chain Manager after 42 years of service. Bobby loved searching for Indian artifacts and was an avid fisherman. He also loved woodworking which led to him doing handyman jobs for a little while after his retirement. Bobby also enjoyed painting and was a master gardener. He was a former member of the Kiwanis Club and was a faithful member of Christ Methodist Church prior to his declining health.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Libby Logue Prysock; and son, Robert William Prysock.
He is survived by his three children; Debbie Prysock Arant of Oxford, Rhonda Prysock Grant of Saltillo, and Robert Prysock, Jr. of Amsterdam; sister, Cathy Lynn Abou-Sakher of Tampa, Florida; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Howse officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
