Sandra Bryan Crosthwait, 90, passed away on July 7 at The Blake in Ridgeland, Ms.  She was born on May 22, 1936, to Richard Cohron Bryan and Elizabeth Doyle Bryan of Belzoni, MS.

Sandra graduated from Belzoni High School in 1954 and attended the Mississippi University for Women her freshman and sophomore years. She was a member of the Lockheart Social Club.  She transferred to the University of Mississippi for her junior and senior years. Sandra graduated in May 1958 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and served on the Tau House Corporation for many years.

She married Frank Owen Crosthwait, Jr. on August 22, 1959, and together they began their life in Indianola, Mississippi. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Affectionately known as "Sandy," she touched the lives of family and friends with her thoughtfulness, warmth, and caring spirit.

Her heart belonged to the Mississippi Delta. It was more than the place where she was born; it was home. It was where she built a life rooted in family and lifelong friendships. Sandra was a member of First Baptist Church of Indianola since 1960, where she faithfully served. She especially loved her time as a Girl Scout leader of Troop 91.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, John Robert Bryan and Richard Cohron Bryan, Jr. Sandra is survived by her husband Frank Owen Crosthwait, Jr. and her daughter, Gail Crosthwait England (John) of Ridgeland, twin granddaughters, Sandra England Triplett (Rob) of Ridgeland and Virginia England DeGuenther (William) of Birmingham, Al and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Virginia Triplett of Ridgeland.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Indianola on July 13 at 10:30 a.m. until the memorial service begins at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to First Baptist Church Indianola, P.O. Box 366, Indianola, Ms 38751 or Baptist Children's Village, P.O. Box 27, Clinton, Ms 39060.
