Shannon Duane Fike, 44, of Ruleville and formerly of Indianola, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Ruleville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ruleville.

Shannon was born July 31, 1973 in Indianola to John Duane Fike and Dorothy Jean Nelson. He was a member of Roundaway Baptist Church.

Shannon was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Duane Fike; two aunts, Frances Horton and Alice Feretti; and one uncle, James "Buck" Downs.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Jean Nelson of Ridgeland; sister, Tiffany Fike Smith and her husband Lee of Ridgeland; one niece, Britton Smith; three aunts, Ann Pinion and her husband Billy of Indianola, Diane Tingle of Pearl, and Kathy Alford and her husband Earl of Indianola; two uncles, Danny Fike and his wife Linda of Grenada and Buster Fike and his wife Pat of Indianola; and a host of cousins.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
