Obituary

Sharon Logan Wade, 76, of Inverness, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, at South Sunflower County Hospital.

She was born on September 7, 1948, in Isola, to Raymond and Ileana Hughes Logan. Sharon worked as the secretary for Sunflower County Farm Bureau for 40 years prior to her retirement. She was past president and current chief of staff of State of Mississippi VFW Auxiliary. Sharon was a member of First Baptist Church of Inverness where she served on the hospitality committee for many years. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, reading, and cooking. Sharon was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ileana Logan; husband, Bobby Wade; and sister, Karen Cummins.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Sonya Wade Lee (John) of Louise; son, Brewer Wade (Sherry) of Tupelo; two granddaughters, Marion Lee McGill (Bradley) of Yazoo City and Madison Wade Clardy (David) of Talladega, Alabama; three great-grandchildren, Quinn Clardy, Jack Clardy, and Samuel McGill; brother, Raymond Logan of Augusta, Georgia; brother-in-law, Billy Cummins of Canton; 2 nephews; and 1 niece.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 20, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Bro. Greg Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
