Sheila McClure Phillips, 61, of Indianola, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Sheila was born May 2, 1963, in Greenwood, to Joe Alton McClure and Patsy Lester Johnson. She was a homemaker and spent a lot of her time helping her husband with their homegrown tomato business. Sheila adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of forty-five years, Henry Phillips, Sr.; two daughters, Susan Liddell and her husband James of Inverness and Bailey Zuniga and her husband Francisco of Blaine; one son, Henry Phillips, Jr. and his wife Stacy of Indianola; stepmother, Sue McClure of Schlater; two brothers, Joe McClure (Tanya) of Coila and Charles Johnson of Yazoo City; two sisters, Patsy Richardson (Eddie) of Yazoo City and Belinda Jaco (Phillip) of Schlater; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her best friend, Linda Allen.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm funeral service at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Rev. Pete Roncali will officiate the service. Burial will follow in McNutt Cemetery in Schlater. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
