Shelby Williams Baldwin, 76, of Inverness, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024, at Humphreys County Nursing Center in Belzoni.

Shelby was born June 22, 1947, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, to Beatrice Rushing Williams and Archie Williams. She worked for Jockey International for 30 years before her retirement. Shelby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, and loved children. Shelby would do anything to make others happy, never worrying about herself. She and her husband enjoyed their afternoon rides looking at the crops and wildlife. Shelby was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and she loved her church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, James Williams, Ray Williams, Bobby Joe Williams, and Kenny D. Williams; and grandson, Phillip Baldwin.

Shelby is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Dennis Baldwin of Inverness; two sons, Robert "Robbie" Baldwin (Phyllis) of Isola and Bryan Baldwin (Vicki Gravitt) of Jasper, Alabama; brother, Mike Williams (Tracy) of Carthage; sister, Brenda Baldwin of Pearl; four grandchildren, Robert Paul Baldwin (Keri), Rachel Baldwin Moor (Joel), Somer Baldwin, and Lauren Baldwin; and seven great-grandchildren, Robert Prestin Baldwin, Elizabeth Ashley Baldwin, Linney Logan Moor, Parker Cole Blake, Linden Broox  McGuff, Waylen Allen  Estes, and Westen Bryan Estes.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at Beulah Baptist Church in Inverness. Rev. Lee Kirk will officiate. Burial will follow in Southside Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
