Virginia Sue Jennings Donahue, 68, of Guntown and formerly of Inverness, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Mrs. Donahue, affectionately known as Susie, was born April 7, 1950 in Caile to Jimmy Lee and Retha Mae Sims Jennings. Susie married William Leray Donahue and together, they made their home in Inverness raising four children. She was a very loving and kind person and had a heart of gold. Susie was usually the peacemaker in any situation, and never met a stranger. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Inverness.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Will Donahue; son, William Earnest Donahue; and two sisters, Grace Hoke, and Gladys Clark.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonia Davenport and husband James of Guntown; two sons, Carey Donahue of Inverness, and Cameron Donahue and wife Lenora of Inverness; two brothers, Billy Wayne Jennings and wife Ann of Crosby, Texas, and Jimmy Dean Jennings of Tupelo; two sisters, Ruth Beach of Hempstead, Texas, and Rosie Mosley and husband John of Hollandale; six grandchildren, Monica Sanders, Blake Davenport, Meri Addyson Donahue, Cody Black, Hasie Ruth Donahue, and Lucy Webb Donahue; and four great grandchildren, Hollie Grace, Jensen, Mary Nelson, and William.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 6, 2018, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at Beulah Baptist Church in Inverness. Burial will follow in Southside Cemetery in Inverness. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
