Tangi Brock Truelove, 47, of Doddsville, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at North Sunflower Medical Center in Ruleville.

Tangi was born April 21, 1975, in Indianola, to Earl and Regina Whitten Brock. She attended Mississippi Delta Community College where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, she then attended Delta State University and graduated from Ashford University with a Bachelor of Psychology degree. Tangi worked with the female offenders at Bolivar County Regional Correctional Facility as a drug and alcohol counselor and had just recently begun to work for the Mississippi Department of Corrections at Parchman. She married Jammie Truelove on December 3, 1994, and together they made their home in Doddsville. She was the best Mama and Nana in the world. She loved her family more than anything. Tangi had sleepovers for her grandkids almost every weekend. She was the glue that held her family together. Tangi loved her dogs Little Bit and Eve.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Brock; her grandmother, Loyce Brock; her great aunt, Joyce Williams; and her brother-in-law, Samuel Truelove.

Tangi is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jammie Truelove of Doddsville; mother, Regina Brock of Indianola; three children, Tyler Truelove of Memphis, Tennessee; Jessica Sappington (Gage) of Doddsville; and Hayden Truelove (Mallory) of Doddsville; two brothers, Jon Brock of Indianola and Jerimey Brock of Leland; and six grandchildren, Alice Truelove, Hollie Truelove, James Truelove, Addison Truelove, Clara Sappington, and Thomas Truelove. Her grands were her world!

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Roundaway Baptist Church in Doddsville with Rev. Bob Hill officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
