Thomas Connor
Lang
Feb 7, 1999 — Oct 19, 2024
Inverness
Thomas Connor Lang was born on February 7, 1999, and passed away on October 19, 2024, in Bay City, TX.
Connor was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending his time hunting and fishing. His favorite place was either in the woods or at the airport. Since Connor was a young child, his only dream was to be an ag pilot, following in his father's and grandfather's footsteps. After completing Delta State University's Agricultural Aviation program in June of 2023, he achieved that dream, being one of only ten students in the program's first graduating class. He loved to fly more than anything, quickly becoming known as an up-and-coming pilot with tremendous talent. He spent his first season flying in Inverness, MS, Texas, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan and was on track to become a much sought-after addition to the agricultural aviation world. He loved his family, girlfriend, dog & constant sidekick Maggie, friends, and the Delta. He was kind, funny, and always ready to offer a smile, a helping hand, and a hug when needed.
He is survived by his mother, Anissa Tonos (Robby) of Lake Village, AR, and his father, Calvin Lang (Angela) of Inverness, MS. His beloved girlfriend, Molli Pollan of Cleveland, MS; siblings, Laura Drew Brasher, Wheeler Brasher, Peyton Jernigan (Ross), Landry Shamblin (Corey), and Frankee Tonos. Maternal grandparents Pam Gullett and Doyle Cantrell, bonus grandparents Mary Margaret Brabston and Mrs & Mrs. Joe Tonos, and a host of beloved cousins, uncles, aunts, extended & bonus family, and friends. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents John William Jr. (Bill) and Cornelia Lang.
Serving as pallbearers are Rob Heflin, Jacob Habig, Cole Burns, Will Lang, Wade Lang, Watson Brewer, Ross Jernigan, Allen Jernigan, and Rob VanNamen. Honorary pallbearers will be Will Beckham, Watson Brewer, Austin Colburn, Thomas Horne, Freddie Jones, Hubert Lester, David Montague, Ken Rodgers, and Steve Stricklin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, from 1-2:30 p.m., with the funeral to follow. The visitation and funeral will both take place at Gary Flying Service, 47 Four Mile Road, Inverness, MS. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness, MS. Burton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Connor's name to the Mississippi Agricultural Aviation Association.
