Obituary

Thomas Brent Vickers, 33, of Shaw, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Region One Medical Center in Memphis, TN due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Brent was born on December 8, 1989, in Indianola, to Keith Vickers and Sandy Pepper Cassidy. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed woodworking and cooking. Brent loved his family and was always passionate about being their champion. He was a great father and a good friend to those around him. He had a big heart and cared a lot for the people he held dear. He'll be missed by many, but the impact he left on others and the memories they have of him will live on forever.

Brent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Frances Anthony.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Keith Vickers (Rhonda), of Beebe, Arkansas, his mother and step-father, Sandy and Barry Cassidy, of Shaw; his paternal grandparents, John and Shirley Vickers, of Cleveland; his son, John Thomas Vickers, of Shaw; three brothers, Vincent Luke Vickers, of Benton, Kyle Cassidy (Amy), of Vicksburg, Ben Cassidy (Sarah), of Brandon; three sisters, Carson Vickers Denton (Colby), of Greenwood, Jenna Schroeder, of Shaw, Kristen Roberts (Brent), of Cleveland; and the mother of his child, Brittany Myers, of Shaw.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Burton Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00PM with Rev. Matthew Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
