Thomas Jefferson Yarbrough, Jr., 64, of Moorhead, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his home.
Thomas, affectionately known as Tommy, was born January 1, 1954 in Rosedale to Thomas Jefferson and Billie Ruth Guyse Yarbrough. He began painting houses when he was 15 years old and became a painting contractor. Tommy owned and operated Yarbrough Painting for over 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking. Tommy loved his family and his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Yarbrough and Billie Ruth Yarbrough Wadlington.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Linda Maritt Yarbrough of Moorhead; daughter, Michelle Yarbrough Street and her husband Brian of Greenville; two brothers, Jimmy Kinkennon and his wife Claudia of Petal, John Kinkennon and his wife Teresa of Brandon; two sisters Nellie Couey and her husband Tommy of Gunnison, and Ruthie Bell of West Memphis, Arkansas; and two granddaughters, Addie Smith and Maritt Street.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm memorial service at Moorhead United Methodist Church in Moorhead. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Delta Grace, P.O. Box 218, Sunflower, MS 38778 or online at deltagrace.org.
