Tommy G. Durrett, 76, of Inverness died Friday, November 13, 2015 at his home. Tommy was born June 20, 1939 in Indianola and was the son of Mary Oma Stephens Durrett. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Mr. Durrett was an avid hunter, fisherman, and Ole Miss fan. He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Mr. Durrett was a Manager and Vice President at Washington Mutual Finance Company until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his mother, and his uncle, R.E. "Peck" Stephens. Mr. Durrett is survived by his wife, Linda Flynn Durrett; daughter, Stephanie Flynn Steed; sister, Bettie Durrett (Bill) Blakely; two grandchildren, Lindsay Steed and Presley Steed, and one great granddaughter, Charley Steed. Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
