Virgie Marie Harbin McPherson, 67, of Indianola, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, at her home. She was born July 27, 1953, to Ardie and Glen Harbin. Virgie never had children but was a mother to all. She loved all. Virgie was preceded in death by her husband, Garry McPherson; her parents, Ardie Fratesi and Glen Harbin; three sisters, Marie Harbin Moore, Lucy Harbin Pepper, and Peggy Harbin Chandler; three brothers, Gene Harbin, Jimmy Harbin, and Gerald "Bo" Wolfe.  She is survived by her stepchildren, Terri Lynn Walker (Greg) and Robin Hartsey (Mitch); five grandchildren; and one great grandchild; two brothers, James Harbin of Illinois and Jeff Harbin of Gulfport; three sisters, Nina Harbin of Missouri, Joann Roper of Greenwood, and Julia (David) Carpenter of Greenwood; four half siblings, Elizabeth Harbin, Michael Harbin, Benjamin Harbin all of Illinois, and Fay Harbin Pryor of Water Valley; special niece, Tracey (Jimmy Joe) Harris of Indianola. Virgie has a great number of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews that loved their Aunt Sissy as much as she loved them. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Pete Roncali officiating, followed by burial in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
