William Eugene Garvin, 63, of Winona, and formerly of Isola, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson.

William, affectionately known as Boo to his family, was born September 28, 1960, in Indianola, to William McAlpine Garvin, Jr. and Leona Olga Grant Garvin. He was raised in Isola and attended school in Belzoni. William was very quiet and easy-going. He was very giving to others and protective of his family. William had a funny laugh and enjoyed helping his mother cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Olga Garvin and one brother, Michael Garvin.

William is survived by one brother, Timothy Wayne Garvin of Isola; sister, Debbie Hearn of Marks; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 22, 2024, at Belzoni Cemetery with Rev. Richard Wiman officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
