William Edward McLendon, Jr, age 69, of Lakeview, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on November 14, 2022, surrounded by family. He was born October 6, 1953, in Isola, Mississippi to Bill and Freda McLendon.

He was a carpenter by trade, a loving husband, daddy and pops. He was an avid sports fan especially of the Ole Miss Rebels and St. Louis Cardinals. On the weekends if he wasn't following his grandkids to their many activities you could find him in Branson enjoying Silver Dollar City. He was an active member of Eastside Baptist Church in Mt. Home, Arkansas.

He is survived by his mother, Freda McLendon of Inverness, Mississippi; brother, Jimmy (Susanne) McLendon of Glen Allen, Mississippi; his wife, Louanne Gammons McLendon of Lakeview, Arkansas; his children, Billy (Debbie) McLendon of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Beth (A.C.) Conley of Conway, Arkansas, Breanne (David) Burton of West Wooster, Arkansas; grandchildren, Peyton, Owen, Sophie McLendon; Haylee Dooley, Breelyn and Baylor Conley; granddogs, Dixie and Hershey; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Edward McLendon Sr.

The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church in Belzoni, Mississippi Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 12pm-2pm, at the church. The burial will follow in Greencrest Gardens in Belzoni. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
