William Earl "Turkey" Pinion, 44, of Leland, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, in Humphreys County. He was born on February 10, 1979, in Indianola, to Willie Houston "Pete" and Patsy Whitaker Pinion. Turkey loved loud music, working on cars, and being with his friends and family. He also enjoyed fishing and driving fast. Turkey worked as a mechanic and as a farm worker. He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Pinion; sister, Patsy "PJ" Pinion; and his son, Nicholas Pinion. Turkey is survived by his mother, Patsy Pinion, of Leland, and his daughter, Destiny Alexis Cornelius, of Greenville. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Burton Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 PM at Burton Funeral Home. Burton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
