William Michael Ragland, 68, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Holmes County Long Term Care in Durant.

Mike was born on February 29, 1956, in Leland, to Robert Curtis Ragland, Sr. and JoAnn Cleveland Ragland. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Belzoni. He was a minister and worked as teacher in Philadelphia on the Indian Reservation for many years. Mike enjoyed all things fun. He loved golf, movies, and most of all, his family. He loved to play the drums and write music. He also enjoyed horseback riding, shooting guns, and his truck.

He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Ragland.

Mike is survived by his father, Rev. Robert Ragland, Sr., of Indianola; son, Dillon Ragland (Anna Kate), of Alabama; daughter, Kristin Carlisle, also of Alabama; brother, Robert Ragland, Jr. (Cindy), of Belzoni, sister, Tami Hawkins (Bubba), also of Belzoni; and four grandchildren, Sutton Ragland, Blakelyn Carlisle, Weston Carlisle, and Conner Carlisle.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Burton Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. George Johnson officiating. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
