William Robert "Bill" Shepherd, Jr, 70, of Indianola, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born October 15, 1953, in Greenville, to William Robert Shepherd, Sr. and Kathryn Pigg Shepherd. He was a lifelong farmer in Indianola. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bill loved spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandkids. He was a member of Christ Methodist Church in Indianola.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Debra Ingold Machell.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Donna Ingold Shepherd of Indianola; son, William Robert "Rob" Shepherd, III of Pearl; daughter, Melissa Shepherd Baker (Paul) of Indianola; two sisters, Susan Collum and Karen Shepherd both of Brandon; four grandchildren, Cole Ferrell, Castle Shepherd, Jordan Ferrell, and Easton Baker; sister-in-law, Wanda Jenkins (Ray) of Indianola; and brother-in-law, Jack Machell of Boyle.

A private family service will be held in Indianola City Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
