Zaburn Marvin Knight, 80, of Doddsville died peacefully Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his home. Marvin was born January 25, 1936 in Stringer, Mississippi and was the son of C.G. and Mary Lou Stringer Knight. He was retired from the United States Marine Corp and was the owner of Desert Suzuki in Barstow, California. After moving to Doddsville, he owned and operated Knight's ATV Repair Shop for 30 years until his retirement. Marvin attended Sunflower Baptist Church and was a former Commander of the VFW in Barstow. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Lou Hancock Knight; sister, Doris Ruth Rimmer. Marvin leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Judy Braswell Knight; step-son, Nathan Sheffield of Jonesboro, Arkansas; step-daughter, Marlena Carol Owen of Olive Branch; brother, Garvin Knight of Indianola; two step-grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Pace and Elizabeth Fisher; and four step-great grandchildren, Dominic Anderson Hunt, Gracelyn Pace, Jace Grayson Pace, and Summer Elizabeth Fisher. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. Graveside services will follow at Roundaway Baptist Church Cemetery in Doddsville at 3:30 pm. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
