Heather Burton

Heather has been involved in the funeral business since 2003. She began her career at Card Funeral Home in Indianola and stayed with them until transferring to Mortimer Funeral Home in Indianola in 2006. Heather and her husband Jamie purchased the funeral home in 2010 from Mortimer and changed the name to Burton Funeral Home. Heather and Jamie are both lifelong residents of Sunflower County. They are the parents of twin daughters, Madison and Mary Margaret. The Burtons are members of Fairview Baptist Church in Indianola. Heather also serves as Sunflower County Coroner.

When his wife decided to buy the funeral home he made the decision to become a part of the business with her. Jamie and Heather are the parents of twin girls, Madison and Mary Margaret. Will Gnemi of Greenwood is our embalmer. He graduated from Northwest Mississippi Community College with a degree in Mortuary Science. He is employed with Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood and also serves as Leflore County Deputy Coroner. He is married to Kimberly Pullen Gnemi, and they have two daughters, Ann Carol and Mari Wilson.
